About Us

Linaker is a three form entry Primary School and Nursery in the heart of Southport, a seaside town in the north of the Borough of Sefton. The school provides for children aged between 3 and 11 and currently has over 500 pupils on roll.

Should you choose Linaker as the school for your child we will do our best to make you and your child feel at home. At Linaker we strive to provide a stimulating, secure and rewarding environment within which each child will flourish. We believe that each child is unique, having different strengths and personalities. We recognise this and aim to provide a learning community in which each child will achieve their very best.

Linaker is a school committed to excellence in all that we do. In 2002 the school was awarded a School Achievement Award in recognition of achievement and progress above and beyond what would normally be expected. In addition to this the school has achieved ‘Eco School’ status in recognition of it’s approach to being an environmentally friendly establishment. The school has also achieved its' Investors in People and is working towards the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark.

From March 2006 the school will become a Children's Centre offering provision from birth through to eleven. Over the next few months more information will be made available about this exciting initiative.
