Linaker is a very successful school which is at the forefront of the Governments agenda for change. In June 2006 we opened the first Children’s Centre in the north of Sefton providing for children and families throughout the Southport area. As well as providing a range of support services we will also provide childcare for children aged 0 – 5 and wrap around care for children aged 5 – 11. As the centre continues to develop and expand, we are looking to appoint staff to the following vacancies:

April Vacancies

  • Key Stage 2 Teachers (TMS): We are looking to appoint two new staff members to teach in Key Stage 2. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate evidence of high quality teaching, a commitment to creative methods as well as an ability to use innovative ICT across the curriculum.
  • Learning Mentor – One Year Temporary: (In The First Instance – Subject To Funding Arrangements) – Scale 6 (£21,412). We are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to our developing pastoral team. The successful candidate will support our growing number of EAL learners and their families as well as providing guidance, advice and support to children who may well need support to improve behaviour and facilitate learning.

Linaker Primary School and Children’s Centre is committed to the protection of its’ children and staff. Successful candidates will be expected to support and comply with its policies designed to protect children from danger and harm. Due to the nature of this work, these posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidate(s) must be able to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure (Via the Criminal Records Bureau) in order to be appointed to the post.
