The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families today dropped by at Linaker to see for himself how the school, the children's centre and it's local partners combine to provide high quality integrated services for families. He commented on the fact that Linaker provided exactly what was needed in terms of 'joined up' working between schools, social care and health. He made positive reference to his visit when he spoke at the conference of Health Visitors in Southport later this afternoon. Also present was Cllr Maureen Fearn (Chair of Governors), Peter Morgan (Director of Children's Services for Sefton), Leigh Griffin (Chief Executive of Sefton PCT) and Jean Massam (Director of the Children's Trust). Linaker continues to be at the very forefront of the governments planned programme of change.
