We would like to welcome you to 4PH’s class page!
4PH’s teaching team includes Mr Hoodless (Class Teacher) and Mr Beaver (Teaching Assistant)
This term we will be studying The Normans, learning about the Battle of Hastings and the Bayeux Tapestry. In Science we will be looking at 'Living Things', thinking of ways of classifying creatures and hunting for mini beasts. Weather permitting, we start going to Portland field for our PE lessons on a Wednesday afternoon.
Our focus text is 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. Where has he come from? Nobody knows, but year 4 have some ideas that they will share soon.
Maths and English homework is given on a Wednesday, to be handed in by the following Monday.
Spelling lists are given to the children on a Friday, the children are tested on the words the following Friday.
Drumming sessions are continuing on Tuesdays.
As part of our work on the Normans, we asked the children to create a model of a Motte and Bailey castle. We were truly amazed by the castles that they created!
We have been creating music in our Computer lessons.
