A Huge Success!
A massive thank you to everyone who sent in cakes for the cake sale on Monday.
Also thank you for sending in donations of money for the children to buy cakes.
We made a grand total of...

This means that we can go ahead with our chick hatching project after the half term holiday.
We are all very excited. The eggs and incubator will arrive on Monday 22nd February.
Wow! Look at our rockets!
What a fantastic response to this weeks homework - to make a rocket.
We were blown away! The children have been really excited about showing off their efforts which are on display in the classrooms and corridors.
Thank you
What a Performance!

Autumn 2 Newsletter
Friday 16th October
Today we visited Mrs Brown's garden to look for signs of Autumn. We saw apples growing on trees and some had fallen to the ground. We saw leaves changing colour from green to yellow, red and brown. We saw conkers and enjoyed feeling how smooth they were and in contrast how prickly their cases were.
As we were exploring we found some teddy bears! The teddy bears each had a numbered envelope. We put the envelopes in the right order (the washing line was very useful!). Then we followed the clues they contained. The clues led us to the tree house. We were a little bit worried that we might find a real bear in there! But no, some treasure... a book called 'The Biscuit Bear' to take back to class and read and some bear shaped crisps for our snack.
What a lovely fun morning!

Stay and Play
At Linaker we really value the support of parents and see the children's education as a team effort between home and school. Each half term we invite parents into school for a 'Stay and Play' session. The first one for this school year is on Tuesday 22nd September. There will be opportunities for you to look around our provision, chat with the teachers and meet your child's new friends. The session is run in the morning and repeated in the afternoon. Please sign up with your class teacher as places are limited. Full details are on the invitation linked below.

Our Starting School Targets
Today your child will have brought home a copy of their targets. We expect all children to have achieved these targets by the October half term holiday. Please work with us to support your child in achieving these basic but very important things. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Thank you.
