The Tree House Nursery
Tree House Nursery is at the heart of Linaker Primary School & Children’s Centre. Especially designed for our youngest children we strive to offer the highest quality of inclusive care and education. As parents you can feel secure in the knowledge that we consider all our children to be unique, having different strengths and personalities. We aim to provide each child with a range of quality experiences that encourage them to develop and learn as well as promoting their emotional well-being. We foster an ethos of respectful care for all children.
We provide care in each of our three rooms :
  • Koala Room : 0 to 2’s
  • Wallaby Room : 2’s to 3’s
  • Kangaroo Room : 3’s and up
Kangaroo Room : This room provides the care and education for all those children registered for just ‘regular’ school nursery sessions OR those within that age group receiving sessional or full day child care.
Tree House Nursery is registered with OFSTED (Reg No EY336127) and meets and exceeds the exacting standards provided by them.
The registered provider is Mr Colin Coleman, Headteacher.

All our staff members have been chosen not just for their expertise and professionalism but for the individual qualities they have in different areas. We believe that by investing in our staff, we are investing in your child’s future. All staff are encouraged to undertake both personal and professional development opportunities to develop their own skills and knowledge.

The nursery benefits from the expertise of two early years qualified teachers who work both with the children and the early years staff. The high ratios ensure all children have the required level of support to aid their development.

In addition to the full and part time staff members we currently employ a regular team of childcare assistants. All staff members are chosen for their experience and high quality expertise in the field of working in early years settings. Our additional staff are fully supported to be important members of the whole team and play a vital role within the nursery.
Working with Parents
Tree House Nursery prides itself on the ability to provide high quality childcare provision. We are exceptionally keen to ensure that parents are given the opportunity to be involved in all aspect of the child’s development and learning whilst at our nursery. We prioritise the importance of the parent and continually work towards responding to their needs.
Outdoor Play
Our outdoor areas have been given the same high quality attention to detail as the indoor space at the nursery. Tree House nursery has 3 outdoor areas, which have been designed to provide an exciting and stimulating learning environment, which encourages children’s natural curiosity and desire to explore. We believe that children should be able to access this outdoor learning environment all year round so staff support and encourage children to play and work in this area everyday. One of our areas is dedicated to our under two’s to provide them with their own secure area in which to crawl and play.

Linaker Kids Club
The kids Club is a childcare provision designed to support the modern day working parents whilst ensuring a safe, fun environment for the children who attend.

Kids club is for children aged 4 to 11 is open to all children in the community.

Breakfast Club in open from 8am to 9.05am and provides a choice of breakfast for your child. The breakfast club also provides the opportunity for children to start the day in a relaxed and supportive environment before the start of the school day.

After School Club starts at 3.15pm and runs until 6pm. The children have the opportunity to choose from a range of activities that are fun and interactive. In addition the children have the option to complete any homework, research on the Internet or simply chill out! The children are given the option of a snack each day which are chosen on a weekly basis by themselves.

Holiday Club runs from 8am to 6pm throughout the school holidays except for part of the Christmas period and two inset days. The club is run by the same staff in the breakfast and after school club in order to provide your child with familiar adults that they have established relationships with throughout the year. Children help to plan the activities for the holiday period according to their current interests. We continue to provide the same high quality of provision throughout the year. The holiday club caters for both lunch and tea as well as snacks and drinks throughout the day.   In addition to the activities planned we are fortunate to access staff from the main school enabling children to have the opportunity to do sports and a wealth of other experiences with experienced staff.

Carrie, Angie and Tina are the staff that work in the club throughout the year providing a fun and relaxing environment.
