Charles Rennie Mackintosh
Charles Rennie Mackintosh was not only an architect but an artist, craftsman and designer. He created houses and their contents in a very different style in Victorian times and the style is known as Art Nouveau. His designs are famous all over the world and inspire architects, artists, furniture makers, jewellery designers and much more.
Mackintosh worked for over 20 years in Glasgow where some of his work is still visible including in the Glasgow Art School and the Willow Tea Rooms.
