Kangaroos nursery
Welcome to the Kangaroo Room page. The nursery teacher is Miss Leddy. She is supported by Miss Aughton (teaching assistant), Mrs Colman (teaching assistant 1:1 support), Nikki Lewis (senior childcare practitioner), Liam McTrustry (childcare practitioner) and Miss Critchlow (teacher on Thursday). Linaker Primary offers a unique nursery experience as the school nursery and childcare are fully integrated. The sessions operate in a variety of ways offering parents choice and the flexibility to build a bespoke childcare package to suit themselves and their families. Mrs Rachel Davies is the childcare manager and can be contacted via the Children's Centre on 01704 532343 ext2.
The school nursery session times are 8.45am - 11.45am or 12.30pm - 3.30pm.
The children are encouraged to wear our school uniform, which is the purple school jumper or cardigan with a white polo shirt and grey trousers, pinafore or jogging bottoms. For safety reasons children should not wear open toe shoes. Please ensure your child brings a waterproof coat with them and wellingtons as we access our outdoor area in all weathers.
We will be updating regularly about what we have been playing and learning in nursery.
We are currently practicing our skills in speaking and listening and counting through the topic of pirates (Spring Term 2015).
