Remembrance Day
In year 3 we have been talking about Remembrance Day. The children leaned that Remembrance Day is a memorial day which takes place every year to remember those members of the armed forces who have lost their lives serving their country.
On November 11th every year at 11am World War 1 came to an end, and we remember this by remaining silent for 2 minutes. Poppies are worn to remember that poppies were one of the first flowers to bloom on the battlefields of Flanders during World War 1.
3RW wrote some poems, painted and drew some pictures. We hope you like them?
