VE Day Special
VE Day 75
On the 8th May 1945, celebrations were held to mark the end of fighting in Europe during the Second World War. This year, it is 75 years since this celebration and a bank holiday has been moved to celebrate the day.
We can understand a little bit how it must have felt during the war as we are unable to move about freely, cannot see our friends and family and sadly there are people dying too. What has been fantastic to see and hear is how many people of all ages, like during the war, are trying hard to help out in any way they can and looking after each other.
We invite all the Linaker families and our friends at The Promenade Care Home and the Lyndale Nursing Home to decorate your spaces in red white and blue and join us in a day of celebrating VE Day 75. Please send us your photos to add to the website.
