Work through powerpoint. Look at the picture and say what it is. What is the initial sound? Lets sound it out and put the letter/sounds in order.
Discuss 'Big garden bird watch' with children. Over the weekend - please keep a look out for birds in your garden or out of your window. Count the birds at any one point in the day for an hour and submit results (how many you found online) CLICK HERE

Extra activity - Do you think you could make a bird feeder at home? You could hang it on a tree outside and see if it attracts birds to your garden.

Look at my green words and red words. Remember we cannot sound red words out. We need to be able to read and spell them by sight.

Afternoon Zoom- Maths
Watch and listen to video about measures - longer and shorter - length - click here
Draw 13 things in 3 minutes - interactive timer. Count to check you have the correct amount and then number each thing.
Measure today - look through 'Sophie's Sunflowers'. Predict how tall you think each sunflower will be and measure using the blocks (non- standard measure).
What else can we use to measure things to see how long/short something is? - A ruler!
Home learning task for this Afternoon -
Home learning packs - complete the 'measuring caterpillars lengths' sheet. You will need to cut the caterpillars out and compare them to 'Connor' Caterpillar. Then see if you can put the caterpillars in order from shortest to longest.
Why not find some objects at home - if you have a ruler you could use your ruler to measure things. If not, why not see if you can find something shorter than you and then something longer than you.
Extra activity - make some playdough with your grown-ups. I will attach my Powerpoint which has the things you need and shows you a method to make non- cook playdough.

Try building a house for one of the little pigs. You can use whatever materials you have at home. I will attach some photographs below for some ideas. You could even make some signs for the house.
