Welcome to Year Two!
There are two classes in Year Two; 2EL and 2EC. Year Two’s teaching team includes Mrs Lavelle (Teacher 2EL), Mrs Cain (Teacher 2EC) and Mrs Worthington (assistant head and group teacher each morning). Mrs Lavelle is currently on maternity leave and Mrs Cook is covering. The support staff in Year Two are Mrs Taylor, Mrs Hindmarsh and Miss Aughton.
On Tuesday afternoons, Mrs Jackson and Helen from PDS teach both classes as Mrs Lavelle and Mrs Cain are out of class.
The children in Year Two enjoy a varied and exciting curriculum with lots of creative activities. The teachers update this page with photos and information from each Topic; make sure you check back for regular updates!

Keep smiling and stay safe everybody. We are missing you terribly and can't wait until we see you all again.

Pioneers of Flight and Space
In the spring term, the Year 2 topic is pioneers of flight and space. To keep up to date with the children's learning throughout this topic, click on the link below.
For the summer term, Year 2 would have been learning all about the topic 'Indian Spice'. Throughout this topic we would be using the text 'Augustus and his Smile' (written by Catherine Rayner) to inspire us and investigate everything there is to know about the fabulous country of India.
Although we are not in school at the moment, it would be fantastic if we could all make a real effort to complete some of the activities we would have been doing in school.
Should you and your child(ren) complete any of the tasks, the teachers would love to see some pictures or videos of them. You can send these to us using the email email@example.com
