Years 5 and 6 Careers Day
On Wednesday 5th December, parents and members of the community were invited into school to speak about their professions.
We had a range of people talking to us, for example; a nurse, speech therapist, transport police officer, a yoga instructor, a mental health worker and a games tester.
These people gave time out of their day to tell us what qualifications they needed, what their days typically consist of and what personal qualities are required for the job.
Our children chose three occupations to listen to and were given the opportunity to ask questions. The children were all very engaged and enjoyed hearing about the jobs, some of which they had never heard of before!
The staff in Years 5 and 6 would like to thank all of our visitors for taking time out of their schedule to talk to us. It is very much appreciated.
