Homework

Each pupil has a Reading Plus account, this programme is very effective in improving reading speed, stamina and understanding.  This should be accessed for at least four twenty minute sessions per week to supplement usage in school.  Please contact your class teacher if a password reminder is required.

MyMaths is an excellent on-line resource.  Each mathematics concept has an age appropriate lesson to support learning.  Homework will be set each week, using MyMaths, which will further develop work carried out in class that week.

Pupils will also have a topic homework book.  This will include a series of tasks to choose from each week or fortnight.  These will be practical or craft tasks.

The children also have access to TTRock stars for fun times table work.

For those pupils unable to access the online programmes or who would like some additional guidance, there will be a drop-in on-line learning session during Tuesday lunchtime.

Reading books are changed each week.  Please bring the book back on Fridays and choose a new book on Monday.  Don't forget to record the reading in the reading record. It is recommended that pupils read and talk about their books daily.

Should your child have an extended absence, please access the following lesson links to maintain learning habits.  Also use the MyMaths lessons and read+ programme.
